Hydraulic winches for cable installation in trenches
LSI.T series hydraulic cable/capstan trench winches manufactured by JSC «SI» for pulling and laying power cables in trenches, communication cables underground, and underground cables and pipelines in cable conduits and trenches. LSI.30/50/100/150T 30/50/100/150 kN.
Our cable winches can operate under any conditions, ensuring high productivity. Features an internal combustion engine (diesel or petrol). Fully autonomous. The trench-type cable laying winch provides adjustable and controlled pulling force of up to 20 tons. The LSI.T cable pulling winch comes standard with a special steel rope, 500-1000 m long (1 km, or any other length per customer request). Remote control operation. Petrol or diesel engine. Mounted on a chassis (single- or double-axle). Pulling force recorder* (optional), protocol logging and data output. Climatic design.
Before cable installation, it is essential to have data about the cable itself: its type, weight, insulation, and all conditions affecting installation. Prior to laying, a site survey must be conducted to identify points of critical tension, bending forces at curves, optimal locations for positioning the cable drum on a stand, and the required number of linear, angular, and other rollers.
Modern cable pulling machines enable installation without damaging the cable, fully meeting customer requirements, with maximum time efficiency and cost-effectiveness. We have developed a series of machines for laying any cable; even heavy cables 1000 meters long can be installed with minimal labor, as quickly and efficiently as possible.
The complex and slow pulling process of the past, which damaged cables at certain bends and under applied loads, is now history. Today, with modern machines, pulling is fast and easy, utilizing pushing technologies, auxiliary devices, and winches. Low financial investment with high results.

Trench winches for underground cable installation and pulling. The most popular models are the LSI.50/100T cable laying winch with a pulling force of 5/10 tons. However, you can also purchase a cable pulling winch with any other pulling force—20, 40 tons or more—and we are ready to supply any exclusive and ultra-powerful solutions.
Hydraulic cable/capstan winches for cable pulling and laying were specifically designed for underground cable installation, ensuring high pulling speed and quality. LSI.T series cable laying winches, as well as hydraulic cable pushers, cable laying tools, and trench cable rollers (linear and angular) are designed to mechanize the cable installation process in trenches.
Laying cable in a trench or ground is a labor-intensive operation that must be supported by mechanisms and equipment. Cable installation conditions are defined by technical specifications: maximum pulling forces (which must not be exceeded), bending angles, turn radii, fastening distances, and other route installation conditions.
Mechanized cable laying began to develop around fifty years ago during large-scale projects at metallurgical complexes, oil & gas, and chemical plants. It is worth noting that older-generation mechanisms were designed for paper-insulated cables, most of which were armored with steel tapes or wires.
Today, plastic-insulated cables are predominantly used for installation. They offer a number of advantages compared to paper-insulated cables: compatibility with any modern electrical equipment, installation at sub-zero temperatures without preheating, no restrictions on use over height differentials, and a specific damage rate of one or two per hundred kilometers.
Among old cable laying mechanisms, only cable rollers can still be noted, but the types of cable rollers produced must also meet all requirements for working with plastic cables. Very often, cable is still laid manually.
JSC «SI» presents mechanized cable laying technology and the full product line: all types of cable rollers, a series of compact auxiliary cable pulling winches, cable pushers, cable jacks of all designs and modifications, universal cable drum axles, leader rope for cable pulling, and other products.
